The Integrated Mineral Resource Initiative (IMRI) brings together three federal ministries (the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology and the Federal Foreign Office), three implementing organizations (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale  Zusammenarbeit, the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources, and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) plus the private sector of Germany and Mongolia. IMRI focuses on supporting Mongolia’s efforts to build a national development strategy based on a diversified economy. It aims to improve the institutional and economic policy framework that allows investments and revenue generation in several economic sectors (mining, tourism, agriculture, textile, etc.) to be used for sustainable economic growth, therefore benefitting the Mongolian population in an inclusive, pro-poor approach.

The German-Mongolian Business Association (DMUV) represents the interests of Germany-orientated companies in Mongolia since 1995. For the benefit of its corporate members, the DMUV maintains an office in Ulaanbaatar, which supports its members and interested companies in their business ventures in Mongolia as well as in Germany. As one of the largest foreign business organizations in the country, the Association maintains a strong network in government, business and society.
